Building & Coding
Come build with LEGO technic as we solve fun problems. Program robots to complete missions on an official FIRST LEGO League playing field.

Innovation Projects
We dream and build BIG solutions to BIG problems. In a regular season, the team may be building a real hydro battery, a 3d-printed NFC tag system, or a website using AI. It’s all in a season’s work for us. Come see some projects from years’ past and build something with us.

Core Values
We also focus on competing with Gracious Professionalism. This is an important concept that the kids will all learn by heart.
Come play some fun team-building games that encourage our core values of:
- Discovery
- Innovation
- Impact
- Teamwork
- Inclusion
- Fun
About Our Program
Saline Heritage Robotics is a 100% volunteer run organization. Our Michigan FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge season runs from August ~ December, with international level competitions taking place the following spring. Many of the coaches have, or at one time had, a child at Heritage Elementary school. We are a member of FIRST in Michigan, the organization responsible for the regional and state competitions.

In Michigan, FLL is an upper elementary school program with teams comprised of up to 10 students who learn, play, hone skills, and acquire new ones.
- Apply math and science concepts to research, design, build, and program autonomous robots
- Use LEGO® SPIKE Prime to solve missions based on real-world problems.
- Practice important teamwork skills.
- Learn from and interact with adult Mentors and Coaches.
- Work as a group to overcome obstacles.
FIRST is more than robots. Its vision is to develop the next generation of innovators and leaders. Each season we will focus on 3 areas: Core Values, an Innovation Project and the Robot Game.
